And about Dio not dying in the first season: they said that after he fell in the grand stream he was rescued by a ship passing nearby. Honestly this has always sounded absurd to me, but still...

They brought Al in because she could sense where the other keys are being a key herself. So she kinda helped Fam et al to find Sara, however as they were briefly escorted, Giselle recognized the path herself so Al and Dian basically just focused on escaping after that.

You know, I wrote the previous comment because I was a bit disappointed with this new season... because I had set my expectations too high, I guess. This is just my opinion, but I really don't think this one is as good as its predecessor. The characters, the plot... everything lacks the power, the suspence and the originality of the first one. After watching the second season I find myself wondering how much of it would I remember in a couple of years...
