novel? didn't know it was a novel... hopefully they will finish it sometime, doesn't seem likely though...
it's a shame it ends like this there are quite a few things i would like to see how develops, for example the full story of Tai's kirin and emporer. they use 12-13 eps (which is a lot for a 45 ep show) to show that story and we never get a conclusion...

last 6 eps and the taiki-eps were completely unnecessary if you ask me
nevertheless its a great anime wich can be watched in 2 days ;-)

boring ending and why the hell was it a recap

Well agree with all the comment with it will continue someday.

I sure hope to see a continuation some day especially of Taiki's story!!!

I wanted to see more of Youko's story during her reign as well... Like how Suzu, Shoukei, Rakushun and Youko lived in the palace, or what kind of a country Kei became (though it's kinda obvious)... But still this anime is awesome and remains as one of my favorites... Also I should mention that I really liked the art in this anime... Some faces looked alike, but other than that, it was really beautiful and well-drawn...
