omg so sad

NOOOO! This episode just made my weekend terrible. It's not that it was a bad episode just really sad. I was like, the whole time "Please don't tell me he's...." I'm actually crying.

Damn! This was a great episode. I'm surprised I didn't notice that Yuuki was actually in her head sooner, they did a good job. And here I thought this whole thing would be a big romp of how everybody important survived, blah blah happy ending. Pleased to see an unexpected, painful, turn of events that has some real emotional punch and adds a sense of weight and reality to the anime.

Why must the good die young.....so sad

wow sadness, I kinda realized it after he goes into the elementary school and his friend cant see him, at that moment added to the fact that in the park nobody else could see him and suddenly he reappeared next to mirai, the rest wast just purely emotional, poor girl couldnt get rid of her brothers image, and it was like yuuki wanted to show mirai his classroom with the picture and her name on the wall and led her there with his ghost.

I'm crying now.

It would have been nice if Yuuki had survived but they gave enough clues in the hospital scenes that he didn't make it. So for me it was waiting to see when Miari would finally notice. Its still very sad even though I've known for a couple eps that he didn't make it. Yet as I said in other posts this is based off of real data and experiences and real life a lot of times doesn't have a happy ending. At least she noticed before she saw her mom. That would have been even sadder if her mom had to tell her I think.

Really great setup for Yuuki's death. You suspect he might be dead during the hospital episode, but try and put the idea off just like Mirai-chan. I am quite pleased with how successfully they put us in the shoes of Mirai, having us share her refusal to accept the possibility that Yuuki is actually dead. Bravo!

Going back and looking at the past two episodes really puts a whole new light on Mari-san and her depression. I thought for sure she was just being nervous about actually having to face the possibilities that were looming ever closer. It adds so much depth to see that she was actually shaken by the death of Yuuki and the fact that her own child could be dead as well, essentially causing her to lose two children and feel like a complete failure as a guardian.

I am very curious what the next episode will give us.

Touching episode. I figured he had passed earlier... that whole looking past and worried.... and how her name was called but never his.... and I think others had mentioned how... the back pack "ownership" seem to just float... alluding that she was loosing it, and not keeping her memory consistent (or self delusion).
I can't wait for the next ep.. how some of this will fall into place...

Is this a 12 /13 ep series??? It's really good.

A really great and sad episode. Few unexpected turn of events. I knew what happened but I wasn't expecting a 'ghost'. This episode strongly shows him as a spirit. I thought it was just a delusion/imagination. I guess due to the fact that this anime is close to reality.

I had a clash of emotion between "she should face reality" and "remembering will only hurts her more". But I also wasn't expecting her to remember it by herself. And quite a quick one at that. Next episode probably shows how she's gonna inform her parents. "..What message do you have for your lost family members?"

Yuuki is dead?!? I thought something was wrong when I saw the duplicate bags, but I thought it was a mistake in the animation...
But he is dead and has been for two episodes! Wow... There is so much emotion there.

omg that was so sad. i even cried T_T. i didn't think it was real that he died back then.
