Voices of a Distant Star (movie)

Description: When 15 year old Mikako Nagamine is drafted into the UN Space Army to help fight against the Tarsians (a new breed of aliens) she leaves behind childhood friend and long time love Noboru Terao. The two communicate via cellular e-mail, but as Mikako travels further and further away from Earth, the time it takes to recieve the messages increases from hours to days and even years until finally, it takes almost 9 years for a message to reach Nobaru back on Earth. A love story that lives on through space and time.
