lol there is some raging homosexual overtones in this anime.
The fangirls must have loved this at the time.
But in any case it is pretty good.

Its more of a Platonic love, love that transcends sexuality and is more universal than the love between a couple. But yeah, theres a helluva lotta sensuality in the guy on guy associations. It may just be the culture of Japan, but i really have no idea, and it disturbs me too. On the bright side, there are some cliches in this anime, and the corny music is annoying, but overall its a fairly good anime with much better execution than others, and the drama has far more realism than most other series, still not perfect since this was made in an era where cliches were still hot and trying anything different was iffy at best, but yeah im gonna have to agree with Romys it is a fcking good anime and certainly a cultural icon.

Clamp has always had male relationships in their stories that were a bit... odd. "legal drug" really ran with it, even more recent titles like xxxholic but to a lesser extent. all that aside they are all great. X is now in the top 10 of my favorite anime of all time... cant wait to see how it ends.

Hmm.. A really cliche kind of anime. The storyline is pretty much predictable but still good nonetheless.

About the homosexual thing,, I agree that it's more like a universal love. Kamui just want everything's back to the way it was but the way the creator illustrate it.. It's getting more and more 'yaoi like' with all that promise and affectionate hug between male and all that. It's typical of CLAMP though.

It does disturb me a lot (i cringe when fuuma did the yaoi thing with kamui) but who am i to critisize? Yaoi is a very widely popular known term in anime after all :X
